satu gempa bumi berukuran 8.7 pada Skala Richter telah berlaku diperutku, mengakibatkan amaran tsunami dikeluarkan kepada rakan2 yang membaca blog ini dan blog2 berhampiran. Gempa tersebut berlaku sekitar jam 12:09:37 waktu tempatan (waktu Malaysia) pada hari raya pertama 2007 dan menyebabkab ribuan lemang, ketupat dan rendang kehilangan nyawa.

Pusat gempa telah dikenal pasti terletak di bujur 2° 04' 35" selatan , 3000 km di atas paras perut. Gempa tersebut dilaporkan dapat dirasakan di mana2 jua saya berada, walaupun sejauh 1000 km dari tapak open house rumah kawan2 saya. -Bernama-
